Sarah Seifert McArdle
Sarah is the owner/director and head instructor and has been dancing since 1982. As a student, she received many opportunities through competitive dance to travel and study under professional choreographers. She has had experience in performing for such venues as cruise lines, Disney World, Starlight Theatre, and Theatre in the Park, as well as, competition experience.
Sarah was trained as a dance teacher and has taught all ages. Not only did she enjoy performing but also enjoyed the opportunity to show her creative side through choreography.
She is a member of the prestigious dance teacher organization Dance Masters of America. Her dance troupe has won a variety of top awards at numerous regional dance competitions. Most recently, Miss Sarah was awarded the “Educator of Excellence Award” at the I Love Dance Regional Dance Competition in Topeka, KS.
Sarah was a cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2002-2003. She obtained her Bachelor Degree of Science in Elementary Education from Emporia State University and is a former first grade teacher at Glenwood Ridge Elementary. She uses her experience in the school classroom to help her dance students be the most successful they can be.
Sarah is in charge of each dance class and is involved in each student’s progress. Sarah believes that a dance studio should be a fun, exciting, and safe place for students to progress. She hopes to inspire and instill a passion for dance and performance in her students.
Mary Ann Seifert
Sarah's mother, Mary Ann is the office manager and has had much “behind the scenes” dance experience through the years. She put so much time and effort in supporting her daughters through all of the competing and performing, as well as managing the studio for Nallia’s School of Dance. At the same time, she has run her own successful business for the past 26 years. She has been gracious enough to put that aside to manage Sarah’s Studio of Dance.
Katelyn started dancing at the age of 2. While growing up, she was a member of the Dance Electric Competition Troupe and the Kansas City Dance Theater Company. She was able to perform at Disney World, on the Big Red Boat, and on Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign of the Seas. She was the recipient of scholarships from DMA, DEA, and KCDTC that allowed her to travel to master classes all over the US. While growing up in Kansas City, Katelyn was able to work professionally at Starlight Theater, The Kansas City Symphony’s Christmas Show, and on a local television show as a hostess.
Katelyn is a Cum Laude graduate of Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor’s in Performing Arts (emphasis on dance performance). During her time at OCU, she was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company. While a part of American Spirit, she was chosen to travel to Taiwan on the “Friendship Through Dance” International Tour. She enjoyed working for Fancy Pants Productions at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA. She also spent 8 1/2 years at sea with Stiletto Entertainment working aboard Holland America Line as a dancer. While onboard, she was able to work as a dance captain, a company manager, and collaborate with ABC’s Dancing With the Stars through their charters of Dancing With the Stars at Sea.
Katelyn is trained in tap, jazz, ballet, acrobatics, hip hop, musical theater, and lyra. She has had the privilege of studying under many amazing teachers such as Jo Rowan, Charles Kelley, Pat Oplotnik, and Robert Reed. She is also a member of Dance Master’s of America. Katelyn loves getting to know each student individually and getting to see those “light bulb” moments when it all comes together.
Laura Fiatte, Dance Instructor
Laura is originally from New Harbor, Maine. She started dancing at a young age under the instruction of Faye Cain at Midcoast Dance Studios and Maine State School for the Performing Arts under the direction of Linda Miele.
During her years at Midcoast Dance Studios and MSSPA, Laura was corps and leading roles for ballets such as Peter and the Wolf, The Nutcracker, Alice and Wonderland, and Swan Lake. After high school graduation Laura moved to Hartford, CT and enrolled into the Hartt School of the University of Hartford as a Dance Pedagogy major. Here she was instructed by Peggy Lyman in the Martha Graham technique, Katie Stevinson-Nollet in Contemporary Dance forms, Hilda Morales, Susan Brooker, and Adam Miller in Contemporary and Classical Ballet. She danced in many pieces at Hartt including: Katie Stevinson-Nollet's World Premier of "Burbon Street", Alla Nikitina's "America Dancing", and also "Romeo and Juliet" directed by Denis Price.
After graduating Laura was accepted as an apprentice with Störling Dance Theater and has been dancing with them since 2007.
Lacey Bloyed Chesser, Dance Instructor
Lacey started dancing in 1987 and has continued to dance ever since. At a young age she had the experience of dancing competitively, as well as, performing in Disney World and the Big Red Boat Cruise Line. Lacey has trained as a dance teacher and has taught a variety of ages. She now continues her dance education by taking master classes at Dance Masters of America Regional Conventions.
She often collaborates with Sarah to come up with fresh new ideas for the dance curriculum. She also enjoys working with our competitive students. Miss Lacey has a niche for creating fun and entertaining choreography! Her routines have been recognized for their award winning performance levels.
Lacey also enjoys working with children outside of the studio. She has been a Kindergarten Enrichment teacher for the DeSoto school district for 10 years and teaches at Bright Start Early Learning Center.
Michaela Mortensen, Dance Instructor
Michaela began dancing in 1994 at Nallia School of Dance. She joined the performing and competitive dance troupe offered by the studio at the age of 9 and had the opportunity to travel and perform in Las Vegas, New York, Branson, and on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in The Bahamas. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and acrobatics throughout her time at the studio.
After graduating from high school and her home studio in 2008, Michaela joined a competitive dance team in Lawrence, Kansas. Through this team, she gained experience performing and teaching hip hop.
Michaela is a trained dance teacher and has taught a variety of ages. She has recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education. She is currently a 5th grade Language Arts teacher in the Leavenworth School District, but continues to teach dance during the evenings.
Katie Kobialka, Dance Instructor
Katie started dancing at Nallia School of Dance in 1993 practicing ballet as one of the first students in the studio. Katie began as an assistant teacher and the years following, she began teaching her own classes including kindergarten through 3rd graders.
Katie continued her tumbling and cheerleading career all through college. She also continued to teach dance classes. Going into her second year at Kansas State University, she auditioned for K-State ballet. This then led to auditioning and being a part of Kansas State University’s spring and winter dance performances.
Katie graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Human Services with a minor in Leadership. Katie recently earned her Master's Degree with Emporia State University in School Counseling. She is currently the school counselor at Basehor Elementary and Intermediate Schools.
