My daughter loves going to Sarah’s Studio of Dance. Not only does she learn dance, she learns important life lessons on respect and honesty. Sarah and her staff have also helped my daughter with self-confidence. The staff is always friendly and loving!

Dancing is fun!

We offer classes in Creative Movement, Tap, Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, and Acrobatics

  • Dance training helps build strong, flexible bodies.
  • It helps with coordination and poise.
  • It helps you to learn with others in a group and fills your mind and soul with energy!

Ballet is very important in becoming a good dancer.  It is your base for tap, jazz, and acrobatics.  Therefore, we consider it a MUST.  Each class offered contains warm up, technique and combinations.  We have five levels of combination classes and two levels of advanced classes.  The advanced classes are broken down into full hour classes for each subject.  All combination classes have assistant teachers and demonstrators to assist with our philosophy of enforcing individual attention.

Classes

Our fall class schedule runs from September through May.  We offer a nine-week Summer Session.

A student may enroll at any time during the year.  Students may enroll as long as space is available in the class.  Students may come try class before signing up.

Students must be pre-enrolled to attend class. We will accept students if a class is not full.  However, we will need to confirm enrollment before you can begin class (even if class has already begun).

Shows & Recitals

Our studio produces two shows per year to give students a chance to showcase their talents and accomplishments for family and friends.

Our Winter Show is in December.  This is a casual show, in which students wear their class uniform leotards so you do not have to purchase costumes.

Our second show is in May, which is our big Recital production.  The Recital is a large scale production in which we use scenery, special lighting, and purchase costumes.  It is truly an exciting production and parents and students look forward to this experience every year.  As always, we try to keep the expenses to a minimum for parents.

Opportunities

There are many areas in which students can get involved in dance at our studio as they progress and grow.

Performing Troupe is our performing and competition group for dancers fifth grade and older. This is for the student that loves all aspects of performing!  It will be an extension of their regular dance class, to include acting and singing.  They get the opportunity to perform and compete in a variety of venues throughout the year.  Students must have tap, ballet, and jazz classes.  Students have the opportunity to participate in this after being enrolled for at least one year at the studio.

Junior Performing Troupe is for students first grade through fourth grade.  Mini Performing Troupe is for Pre/K students.  These groups perform with the Performing Troupe.

Teacher’s Training
Students 7th grade and older have the opportunity to assist the dance instructor in  classroom with younger students. They have the option to be part of the Teachers Training Program.  This is also a reinforcement of the dance training they received in their early years of dance.
